The journey is long...
but you don't have to walk alone.
Our mental health focused course is designed to merge the traditional elements of having and caring for a newborn with equipping participants with the tools and skills needed to navigate the emotional, physical, psychological, and overall impact of this journey. In addition, our course is designed to meet the needs of both the birthing and non-birthing survivor parent(s).
These consulting sessions offer space for survivors to think through the challenges they are facing with neutral support. CIB offers appropriate resources, skill building, planning, and resourcing around family planning, pregnancy, parenting, postpartum, parenting, and empty-nesting/transitions in the parent/child relationship in ways that foster liberation.
Please note: Cactus In Bloom does offer referrals for mental health support as we do not provide therapy ourselves.
In partnership with mission aligned organizations and CIB members, CIB offers special events that center awareness/skill development, access to resources, and community building.
As the CIB team trains medical, mental health, and childcare providers across Los Angeles county, we are developing a resource list for parents/caregivers to utilize to choose care that is CSA-informed, trauma-reducing, and culturally humble.
